Marlisa Brown is a registered dietitian, certified diabetes educator, chef, author, and international speaker. She has authored numerous books, including Gluten-Free Hassle Free, and she currently runs Total Wellness Inc., her own nutrition consulting company specializing in culinary programs, corporate wellness, celiac disease, diabetes, and medical nutrition therapy. She has worked with clients as varied as the NY Jets, Kennedy Space Center, Honeywell and Goldman Sachs. Marlisa has made numerous television appearances, including on Foody TV’s “Defeating Diabetes in Your Kitchen”. She also wrote and appeared on “International Healthy Cooking” for The American Heart Association.
Marlisa has led dozens of seminars on managing diabetes and has been invited to the International Restaurant Show multiple times. She has spoken on subjects of health, wellness, and nutrition at conferences around the country and often speaks as the “dieting dietician,” having struggled with her own weight. Marlisa brings deep experience, creativity, education, humor and moxie to each and every one of her speeches and workshops.
