Alex Lickerman’s first book, The Undefeated Mind: On the Science of Constructing an Indestructible Self, provides the wisdom and principles we need to be resilient in spite of life’s obstacles and failures. He and Ash ElDifrawi, Psy.D., are co-authors of The Ten Worlds: The New Psychology of Happiness, which identifies and discusses the ten conditions or “Ten Worlds” that are key to attaining lasting happiness. In his talks, Alex speaks on resilience and the pursuit of true happiness. Audiences come away with an awareness of how belief determines happiness and just what they believe that determines theirs.
A sought-after and highly experienced public speaker, Alex has been a guest on NPR’s On Point and has authored numerous articles for publications ranging from Psychology Today to Slate. He has been invited to speak all across the country, including at Columbia Law School, Boston College and the National Parkinson Foundation. He is currently the head of a direct primary care private practice in Chicago called ImagineMD.
